I have always had a passion for animals. As a child, I would bring home all kinds of sick and injured animals, which my family and I would nurture back to health and then set free. So, it is no surprise that I've ended up working with pets! My early work experience is in Media Public Relations. I was first introduced to pet grooming after moving to Canada in 2000, when I was successful in securing a groomer assistant position at an animal hospital in the Rosedale area. I gained a wealth of experience as a pet groomer while working in this hospital, and I immediately felt that becoming a pet stylist was the perfect outlet for me to nurture both my artistic side and my love for animals. Five years later, I decided it was time to spread my wings and see where my talents could take me. I became an independent pet stylist and worked in the Beaches area for 4 years before joining forces with the Lawrence Park Animal Hospital team. I am a professionally trained dog and cat stylist. I am knowledgeable of many popular styles for all breeds of dogs and cats, and I am always open to enhancing a style to better please my furry client's owner! I strive to make every grooming experience pleasant and enjoyable for each animal that is brought to me. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a client and their pet both leaving with smiles on their faces! Before moving to Toronto, I worked only with people. Coming to Canada was the beginning of my new life. It was a dream come true for me to enter a profession where I could communicate and develop relationships with both people and animals. My artistic talents have allowed me to develop my broad imagination, where I am able to visualize, create and enhance beautiful cat and dog shapes. My background working in public relations has helped me to discover the necessary skills for building good relationships with my clients. I am a professional, an artist, a writer and a sailor. I love animals, and I love people... and I love my job! |
